The long wait is finally over. We now have our first in-game look at the Joker in Mortal Kombat 11. The appearance of the infamous Batman villain has been teased for months now and the trailer does not disappoint. This rendition of the Joker character did not lean heavily on the Joaquim Phenoix or Heath Ledger Jokers but went for its own unique take on the character. If anything it much more resembles what we saw from Jack Nicholson so many years ago. Something that shouldn’t upset fans too much.
This new teaser shows off the new moves that the Joker is going to have in Mortal Kombat 11. But most importantly it does show off one of his fatalities. The Joker uses a bunch of goofy and bizarre things to deal damage to opposing characters like throwing explosive jack-in-the-boxes as well as cartoonish extendable boxing gloves.
Mortal Kombat 11 has introduced a ton of new character since its launch last year, but the world-renowned Batman villain has to be the biggest of them all. The Joker has amassed a huge following over the decade thanks to previous movies. However, thanks to the most recent on-screen portrayal of the character by Joaquim Phoenix, the Joker is on the mind of almost everyone. This new DLC character should be a massive hit for obvious reasons.
If you have not had the chance to play the latest Mortal Kombat then you should really give it a shot. The rebirth of the series has been well received by fans and critics alike. It really does a great job of modernizing the classic arcade beat ’em up franchise without totally losing its retro feel. It is a must-buy for any old school gamer.
