New Yakuza 7 Gameplay Revealed in Bombastic Trailer

Yakuza 7 Looks Like the Most Over-the-Top Yakuza Game Yet

New Yakuza 7 characters were recently revealed in a new gameplay trailer that showed off a lot of zany turn-based RPG gameplay. Sega’s new Yakuza game launches on PS4 in Japan on January 16th, 2020 and will come out in the West later that year.

While there’s a lot of gameplay shown in the video posted above, unfortunately all the actual info is in Japanese so we can’t report that much news about it. But, honestly, even if this video was in English, it still wouldn’t make much sense.

The gameplay footage reveals some new party members (e.g. the leather jacket-wearing guy with flame arms and the trenchcoat-wearing white-haired knife fighter) who can join the game’s protagonist, Ichiban Kasuga, during his quest to find out why his yakuza clan betrayed him at the beginning of the game. The video also showed a few minigames, sidequests, and job activities that Ichiban can do to unlock new gameplay rewards.
