Why Does Everyone Wanna Go Back to Jakku?
As you probably are well aware, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’s release is imminent. Of course, one of the most relevant Star Wars games Battlefront 2 will be taking full advantage of the occasion with related DLC. EA Dice already started with the Celebration Edition of the game. This content added Rey, Finn, and Kylo Ren to the game, who we know from The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. But that was only part 1 of this month’s DLC. Earlier today, EA Dice released The Rise of Skywalker trailer, revealing what else is coming this month.
Battlefront 2 has monthly updates, but November’s content was postponed to earlier this month to accommodate for the movie’s release. At the time, it seemed confusing, but in hindsight it makes more sense why it was postponed. The new update will arrive tomorrow and adds new maps and new playable characters. Players will be able to play on Jakku, Takodana, and Starkiller Base, all of which were set pieces for The Force Awakens. Two new classes will be added to each the First Order and Resistance sides, as well. The First Order will get classes called Infiltrator and Jet Trooper, and the Resistance will get classes called Spy and Gunner.
Next month, EA Dice plans to release Capital Supremacy, which will add two new star ships; the Resistance’s MC85 and the First Order’s Resurgent-class Star Destroyer. Players will also be able to take control of BB-8 and its First Order counterpart BB-9E in this update. The Battlefront 2 The Rise of Skywalker DLC will be released tomorrow, December 17th. Star Wars Battlefront 2 is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Star Wars Episode XI: The Rise of Skywalker will be in theaters on December 19th.
