Enjoy Your Stay with the New Remothered: Broken Porcelain Trailer

You Can Check out Anytime You Like, but You Can Never Leave

While the term Remothered sounds like the process of having a second child, the game series couldn’t be farther from it. Remothered is a survival-horror series, much like Silent Hill, with terrifying creatures and compelling mysteries. The first in the series; Remothered: Tormented Fathers is about a woman named Rosemary investigating the disappearance of a young girl. Her investigation leads her to the home of Richard Felton, where the game takes place and where the torment really begins. The new Remothered: Broken Porcelain trailer sees a new scenario and location, but expands on the world.

The trailer, titled Home for the Holidays, is a fake ad for the Ashmann Inn. The Ashmann family is tied to the original Remothered game, so through this location, we may see a connection to a larger story. In the trailer, we see the new protagonist, Jen who is a young girl expelled from boarding school and sent to work at the inn as a maid. Broken Porcelain may in fact be a prequel to Tormented Fathers. Without spoiling too much, there is a character named Jennifer in Tormented Fathers that plays a key role in the story, who may be Jen in Broken Porcelain.

The Home for the Holidays trailer for Broken Porcelain uses juxtaposing imagery and narration. While the trailer is meant to serve as an advertisment for the Ashmann Inn, the gameplay shows the horror elements the game will introduce. No release date is given for Remothered: Broken Porcelain, but it will be coming out on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch in 2020 and can be pre-ordered now. Remothered: Tormented Fathers is on sale on Steam right now.
