Baba Is… Me?
Sometimes gift giving isn’t all about the mass-produced, big name, over-saturated, triple A games. Sometimes you want the hand-crafted, unique, special feel of an indie game. And you can get them cheap, cheap, cheap, right now during the Boxing Week Nintendo eShop sale! Among a ton of sales and deals on the Nintendo eShop, there is a category of indie games whose prices dip as low as like $2. Most of them aren’t that cheap, but there are some big savings to be had for Nintendo Switch owners that would make great follow ups to Nintendo Switch Christmas gifts.
The games on this indie list include Baba Is You, Cuphead, My Friend Pedro, Castle Crashers Remastered, Slay the Spire, Terraria, Unravel 2, Downwell, Torchlight 2, Blasphemous, Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition, and SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech. Most of these games are between $5-$10 off, but Unravel 2 is nearly $20 lower than its regular price. And with Downwell being only $1.88, there is almost no downside to picking it up. Ori and the Blind Forest, Cuphead, Baba Is You, and My Friend Pedro are also some of the most beloved indie games in recent years that you cannot go wrong with.
Other deals on the Nintendo eShop include different Nintendo Switch bundles and a publisher sale from British group Team17. Games on sale from Team17 include My Time In Portia, Blasphemous, Overcooked 1 and 2, Worms W.M.D., and Yooka-Laylee. The indie game sale will only last until December 28th, but the other deals are active until different dates.
