Season 1 Kicks Off Tomorrow
The first season for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is just around the corner. Launching tomorrow on December 3rd, Season 1 is going to mark the most amount of DLC a Call of Duty game has ever received. New weapons, game modes, Spec Ops mission, and much more are all on the way.
Season 1 could very well set the trend for the series as a whole. Fans should expect to see just as much content later on down the road as well. Infinity Ward is really pulling out all the stops this time around.
One of the most important additions that will be coming with Season 1 are new maps. While the maps that are offered in the base game are far from horrible. They are deeply flawed. Things like camping and relatively static gameplay were, and still continue to be a problem in the game thanks to the poor map design. The new maps that are being added will hopefully mitigate that problem. The maps being added are a handfull of old and new. Something that both new fans and old school fans should equally enjoy. A new map that is going to only pertain to Ground War is also going to be added.
Hopefully, Season 1 is a sign of things to come. In the past few years, Call of Duty has built up quite a stingy and money-grubbing reputation. But thankfully, this new season is a total 180 from previous business decisions. Infinity Ward really does seem like they want to rewind the clock a couple of years back into their glory days.
Keep in mind that fans will not have to pay anything to get access to all this new content. It is totally free.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
