Soulcalibur 6 Season 2 Trailer Outlines Changes and Additions

“Makeover” Doesn’t Cut It

We’ve known that a second season of DLC has been coming to Soulcalibur 6, but instead of just new characters, Bandai Namco is reworking quite a bit. There are enough changes and improvements on their way that apparently warrant a trailer for this season. If you’re a player who has been keen on what characters are coming, you are probably aware of Hilde von Krone’s return and the introduction of guest fighter Haohmaru from Samurai Shodown. However, Soulcalibur 6 season 2 will have more changes that just character selection.

Soulcalibur 6 Season 2

There are a few visual changes being made in season 2, namely in the UI. The Character Select screen is different, and the health gauges are changed to help identify the remaining health as well as the fighters’ current fighting style. Text chat has also been added to Casual Matches, but if you’re a console player without a chat pad, you won’t likely be using it. Each character also has new moves including what is called the Soul Attack and block called Resist Impact, which can defend against any damage and lay the groundwork for a comeback.

Silver Wolves’ Haven is a new stage being added, likely a tie-in to Hilde von Krone who has a wolf motif. There are also new cosmetic sets for character customization. Additionally, soundtracks from Soulcalibur 4 and 5 are being added to the game. Soulcalibur 6 season 2 begins tomorrow, also when Hilde will be available for download. Still no release date on Haohmaru or the two remaining characters. Soulcalibur 6 is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
