Resident Evil Spirits Arrive in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

I Hope That Isn’t Mario’s Blood…

Capcom’s resident zombie killers-I mean, infected killers, will be joining Nintendo’s flagship fighting game for a short time. Unfortunately, they will not be appearing in a major capacity like as any DLC characters, but it’s something. From various installments of the series, Resident Evil Spirits, which are new to the series, will be available starting tomorrow. If you have not heard of this feature before, Spirits are basically enhancements that can be applied to your character to make them stronger, more resistance to certain attacks, and many other features.

Resident Evil Spirits

Spirits come as characters from different video games and can be collected by completing challenges and purchasing them. There will be four characters from Resident Evil that will become Spirits. Leon Kennedy, Chris Redfield, Albert Wesker, and Jill Valentine will be available starting on November 29th, but you better get them quick, because they will only be available for 5 days. Right now, the limited time Spirits are part of a Pokémon Sword and Shield event, but they will be replaced by the Resident Evil characters. The news of the new Spirits came by the Nintendo Versus Twitter account.

According to the image shared in the Nintendo Versus tweet, the character models will be based on the costumes from various games. Chris’ costume appears to be from RE7, Leon’s from RE4, Wesker’s from RE5, and Jill’s from RE1. No word on what the enhancements from the characters will be, but we’re hoping to get increased boulder-punching from Chris. The Resident Evil Spirits will be available tomorrow, on November 29th.
