Get Scared Together
Man of Medan is a narrative-driven horror game that is the first installment in a long list of other games that are currently being worked on. Called the Dark Pictures Anthology, Supermassive Games is hoping to release a horror franchise that will go down as one of the best ever. Man of Medan was released earlier this year and was well-received by critics and fans. It was by no means the massive blockbuster that the devs had hoped. But it was a step in the right direction for the series.
Medan was marketed as a game that could be played alone or with a friend. The cooperative play would have two players controlling two different characters who are both looking at or experiences things from a totally different perspective. It was a very ambitious idea that has actually worked quite well.
If you own Man of Medan or know someone else that does, you two can play together without the other person owning the game. Everyone who owns the game gets one pass to handout to a friend of their choosing. Once this is done, the person who has received said pass with then be able to get access to a month-long trial version of the game.
While Supermassive Games is not exactly handing out their game for free, a month is more than enough time to complete the game with a friend. There are a ton of different endings though. Man of Medan is all about choosing your own fate. There are possible endings where everyone dies. Make sure to be careful.
If horror games are your thing. You should definitely check it out.
Man of Medan is out on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
