Conan O’Brien Is in Death Stranding For Some Reason

Another Death Stranding Celebrity Cameo!

Comedic talk show host Conan O’Brien is going to be a Death Stranding character who can gift the protagonist, Sam Porter Bridges, with an otter hat that makes it easier to swim, according to creator Hideo Kojima.

Kojima tweeted on Thursday that O’Brien will be one of the “prepper” characters who Sam can deliver packages to. After connecting with O’Brien, players will rewarded with the “Sea Otter” hood, which will make it easier to swim and brighten up the mood of Sam’s bridge baby.

Kojima added that the hood was originally a full body suit that “memorizes every gear and baggage that the player has.” However, since the suit couldn’t be balanced properly for gameplay, it had to be changed to a hood that improves Sam’s swimming.

Death Stranding

This announcement comes after O’Brien visited Kojima Productions and hung out with Kojima himself. During the visit, Kojima asked O’Brien if he’d like to be in Death Stranding and, of course, O’Brien said yes.

The funniest part of all this is that O’Brien also has a segment on his talk show, Conan, that’s called “Clueless Gamer”, where he’s bemused by modern video games and jokes about them. Now he’s a character in one of the biggest games of the year!
