Behind the Scenes of Super Monkey Ball
Making a video game isn’t always all fun and games. It’s hard work. It can mean long hours, emotional and physical tests of the self, putting on a monkey outfit; anything to meet the deadline. We get a look at what it takes in the mockumentary, or as SEGA puts it, monkeymentary video of the Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD Trailer. The trailer was released a couple of days ago. It follows the “actors” and “director” of the new Super Monkey Ball game.
The trailer cuts between behind the scenes of “filming” and interviews with the actors and director. Being involved with the Super Monkey Ball franchise is their dream come true. We see them doing promotion, the red carpet events, the premier, and we learn what it takes to become a monkey inside a ball. We only get a short look at the gameplay, but it’s Super Monkey Ball; you know what it is.
This game is an HD remake of the 2006 game Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz released exclusively as a Nintendo Wii launch title. It will be coming out on October 29th on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. It is unclear if motion controls will be used this time around, as some of the platforms support such features.
