The Surge 2 Has Officially Gone Gold
We’re just over a month away from the release of the highly anticipated sequel to The Surge and the game has officially gone gold. In addition to the announcement on Twitter Focus Home Interactive has released an accolades trailer for The Surge 2.
Ahead of its arrival in September Deck13’s The Surge 2 has gone gold and for those who may not be familiar with the term, it means that the work for the game is complete and it’s ready to be shipped. Of course that’s not to say that they won’t continue to work on future content for the game or creating a hefty Day 1 patch set to fix any bugs etc. when the game drops. It’s a huge milestone in the development stage however, and to celebrate Focus Home Interactive is sharing the preview accolades in a brand new trailer. You can check it out below.

We got to check the game out last year at E3, and in our preview we are very hopeful about the full release. “Visually, The Surge 2 plays out extremely smoothly with the immense amount of detail in the environment and your very own character. Jericho City creates an interesting setting that’s filled with greenery, but also eerie creatures and ruthless individuals that roam it. Overall, The Surge 2 looks to be a solid, immersive, and brutal adventure that contains massive improvements from the first game.”
