25 Minutes of Gameplay for Dying Light 2 Has Just Been Unveiled
Back in June of this year everyone who was at E3 had the opportunity to check out the demo for Dying Light 2. Unfortunately, everyone else could only read about it all in the positive previews written about the game. Until today that is. Techland has officially unveiled that very same 25 fabulous minutes of gameplay for Dying Light 2.
The 25 minute gameplay footage showcases a mission where the player has to solve a water shortage in the city by invading the Renegades base. Along with the video, which dropped on Youtube earlier today and already has over 131,000 views at the time of writing, there’s also an official description that explains the demo a bit. “Welcome to The City, a modern world plunged into a Dark Age – the last bastion of humanity, where factions fight for power, and regular people fight just to survive. Our protagonist, Aiden Caldwell, is forced to make difficult decisions under pressure, that will shape both the narrative and the world around you.” You can check out the gameplay for yourself below.
Although the hardcore parkour, maneuverability and kicking zombie ass is the main attraction within the video, there’s also a few interesting tidbits of information to be picked up on by the narrator. It seems that weapon modding is back, combat is just as awesome as ever, and the city is divided into seven different districts, each of which has its own parkour abilities to unlock and unique look.
And if you haven’t heard too much about the game, here’s the official description from the game’s website, “It’s been 15 years since humanity lost to the virus. The last great human settlement exists within an unforgiving, infected world, plunged into a modern dark age. During the day, bandits, factions and starving survivors roam the streets scavenging for scraps – or someone to take them from, by violence if necessary. At night the infected roam free, evacuating their dark hideouts to prey on the living. You are Aiden Caldwell, an infected survivor. Your exceptional agility and brutal combat skills make you a powerful ally and a valuable commodity in this dangerous world. You can achieve things no one else can. Enter places no one else dares. With your unique abilities you have the power to be an agent of change within this decaying metropolis.”
Although there isn’t a set release date for Dying Light 2 at this time, it’s set to launch in spring 2020 for the PS4, PC, and Xbox One. What do you think about the new gameplay? Are you looking forward to getting your hands on the game?
