A Major Nintendo Switch Conference Happens Next Week
A Nintendo-Tencent conference that’ll focus on the Nintendo Switch launching in China is planned for August 2nd, according to a recent announcement.
“Tencent and Nintendo are hosting a media event on August 2nd 2019 in Shanghai for Nintendo Switch,” tweeted gaming industry analyst Daniel Ahmad on Wednesday. “Steven Ma, Senior Vice President of Tencent and Satoru Shibata, executive at Nintendo, will attend. Should be more details of Switch launch in China.”
Nintendo has previously expressed interest bringing the Switch to China and Tencent was approved in April by the Chinese government to distribute the handheld console in the country.
Other Switch news: The Nintendo Switch Lite was revealed earlier this month and it’s planned to launch in September.
