Episode 1 – DC Outskirts: Expeditions Coming July 23
Division 2 is receiving a massive amount of free content later this month. This new update is going to take you outside of DC to new locations. As seen in the title of the expansion, you will be taken to the outskirts of the city. These locations include Camp White Oak, Manning National Zoo, Kenly College, and many more. The new content will also come with brand new missions and more interesting loot. The most exciting news it the inclusion of Expeditions.

- When Agents receive what appears to be a final broadcast from a military convoy at Kenly College, they form an expedition to find any surviving members in need of rescue. Expeditions are split into three different wings for players to complete. Each wing has a specific theme and tone and will be opened to players on a weekly basis. Completing all three wings grants access to an exclusive treasure room full of rewards.
New weapons and gear are also coming. Players will now have access to the Diamondback Rifle, Stoner LMG, and Carbine 7. There have been addition tweaks to the crafting system as well. “Players can now craft gear up to Gear Score 500 and share blueprints across characters. Additionally, crafted weapons can now be recalibrated.”
The inclusion of free DLC seems to be making a comeback in the gaming industry. Even Battlefield V, a game which is run by EA, a company that is notoriously stingy has released tons of new maps and content without charge. Perhaps there is hope after all.
