The Blackout Club is Incoming Next Month

That’s right, according to the developer Question, The Blackout Club, which is a first-person co-op survival horror game, will be coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC, straight from Early Access in about a month’s time, on July 30th. Since the game released in October of last year the developers have been working through fan feedback and have been adding changes and improvements along the way. According to Question, the game “launches into 1.0 with loads of new content for current fans and an exciting new experience for those who have been waiting for the final release.”

Now if you’re unfamiliar with the exact details of the game, here’s what it’s all about, “In The Blackout Club, your friend has gone missing. Something is amiss in the town of Redacre and the adults aren’t listening. What lies under the streets of Redacre? It’s up to you to find out. The boogeyman known as Angel looks over Redacre. All-seeing as the adults report the sins of the youth trying to unveil the cultist activities happening in the town. Those committing the most faults are hunted by this entity, which is only visible when you close your eyes. Players must work together to help save their missing friend and uncover the truth about what is happening under the surface of this sleepy town.” You can check out the new trailer for the game below.

Of course if you’re not entirely sure if the game is for you, here’s what our preview had to say, “The Blackout Club is shaping up to be the video game version of curling up with blankets and clinging to your friends during the bloody bits, except this time, who lives and who dies is up to you.” And if you’re looking at snagging up The Blackout Club for PC, between now and July 9th it’s available at 20% off as part of the current Steam Summer Sale.
