Y’Know, Typical Final Fantasy 7 Remake Things
The upcoming Final Fantasy 7 remake got an explosive new gameplay video at Square Enix’s E3 2019 show on Monday. Go ahead and check it out below!
Square Enix also gave some details about the remake’s combat system by explaining how its new “tactical mode” works. When this mode is enabled (after filling up the “ATB Bar” by landing standard attacks), players slow time and can make important tactical decisions that’ll give them the upper hand in battles.
There’s also a streamlined party system that will let players switch between party members with one button. Similarly, the game also has a shortcut function for combat & magic attacks.
The Final Fantasy 7 remake has previously been confirmed to launch on March 3rd, 2020 for the PS4 and, despite some speculation that the game would launch episodically, it appears that the Midgar part of the remake will release as a single game.
