Goodbye Forever
Telltale is currently in the process of being erased from history. A couple of weeks ago, news broke that all Telltale games would be removed from GOG. That means The Walking Dead, Batman, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Wolf Among Us, and many others are going away forever. Now, it seems that Minecraft: Story Mode is also suffering the same fate, but in this case it is across all platforms. In just a few weeks we will be saying goodbye to Jesse and his friends for good. Minecraft.net put up an update informing us of this terrible news.
“Today, we have some important information to share for all players of Minecraft: Story Mode – A Telltale Games Series, Season 1 and 2, on behalf of its publisher. As you might have heard, its publisher is no longer in business, which unfortunately means that Minecraft: Story Mode will no longer be supported. If you have purchased these seasons, please download all remaining episodes prior to the service being discontinued in June. Here’s the full message:
“On behalf of the publisher, Minecraft: Story Mode – A Telltale Games Series, Season 1 and 2 will no longer be supported on June 25th, 2019. If you have purchased these seasons, please download all remaining episodes prior to the service being discontinued in June.”
This is basically the last call of video games. If you were on the fence about getting these games, now is the time to act. Buy them, download them, and then wait on playing them after. Last reminder, Minecraft: Story Mode will be wiped from all digital stores on June 25th. Godspeed.
Will you be picking up Minecraft: Story Mode before it’s gone? Let us know in the comments below.
