Much More is to Come for Red Dead Redemption OnlineÂ
Rockstar took to Twitter earlier today to announce that more content will be coming to Red Dead Online. The tweet established that the most recent update which was released earlier this month was there to lay the “foundation” of the online portion of the game. Starting this summer, there will be even more fresh additions. Players will now have the ability to take on three new roles.
The first is the Bounty Hunter. This is somewhat self-explanatory but it will be their job to hunt down wanted criminals and hand them in for cash and other rewards. Secondly, players will be able to take on the role of the Collector. The Collector seems to be along the lines of being a treasure hunter of sorts. Someone whose job it is to uncover or find hidden valuables. There was a treasure hunting portion in the single player as well. It will be interesting to see how Rockstar makes this work online. Lastly is the Trader. This is the most unclear role as of now. The tweet only explains that the Trader will be able to set up shop in the camp and sell goods from there. We will have to wait until all of these new roles are elaborated on further to get a clear picture.
The new roles will come with new unique gameplay, weapons, rewards, and outfits. Each role will come with a sperate skill tree and attributes. These can be focused by the player to unlock each perk faster. Or they could “play naturally to create your own unique character and path through the frontier.”
