It Sounds Like The Last of Us 2 Is Nearing Completion
The highly-anticipated The Last of Us Part II (also known as The Last of Us 2) currently doesn’t have an official launch date but one of the game’s directors recently tweeted that Naughty Dog is looking to hire more developers to help the studio “close out” the game which indicates that it may be nearing the end of development.
“Lot of awesome positions open to help us close out this game,” tweeted co-game director Anthony Newman on Friday. “I especially want to highlight the Melee Animator position, I guarantee you will be working on some *dope* animations working with my good friend [Lee Davis].” His tweet can be seen below.

When it comes to when The Last of Us Part II will launch, neither Sony or Naughty Dog have ever given a release window or specific date. Naughty Dog has said previously that more about the game will be shown when the studio is ready to show something new.
Taking place five years after the end of The Last of Us, the sequel places players in the shoes of a 19-year-old Ellie on a revenge mission against a group of people who wronged her in a currently unspecified way.
