DLC Info is Set to be Announced Next WeekÂ
Well, that was fast. It would appear that new Mortal Kombat 11 characters will be arriving relatively soon. Everyone should be excited. Mortal Kombat is well known for adding a large range of new and wacky fighters to their games via DLC. For example, well-known horror icons such as Freddy Kruger, the Predator, and Jason have been added in past titles.
The director of the series Ed Boon has tweeted that ” Fingers Krossed…. if all goes well, next week we will be announcing the fighters that will be joining Shang Tsung in Mortal Kombat 11’s DLC !!”
Mortal Kombat 11 already has a huge amount of fighters available. There are 25 playable characters that come with the base game. So whatever new fighters they introduce will be a great addition to an already extensive and diverse roster.
Mortal Kombat 11’s DLC will be made up of only six downloadable characters. Which is definitely not a bad thing. A small amount of DLC means that players won’t have to spend much money on the game after launch. There is no telling what these new characters will be. But there was a supposed leak that suggested that Shang Tsung might make an appearance along with nine other fighters.
As of right now, we can only speculate what characters will be coming. Personally, I’m hoping that Bob Ross or someone else unassuming will be making an unexpected cameo. However, it is more likely that villains from Hollywood horror movies and a couple of original fighters will be thrown in. But a man can dream.
