Dauntless has had a fantastic launch, all things considered. Millions of people are waist-deep in this co-op monster hunt, and a lot of them have questions to ask. So, the Dauntless devs hosted a Reddit AMA! The result was a ton of fresh insight uncovered about the game and its immediate future.
The devs addressed all sorts of future additions, bugs, and curious trivia details. A lot of people asked about the color-switching bug, a problem noted by PS4 users. That’s one that will be ironed out in the next patch or two. There was also talk of more fleshed-out islands, new weapons, pets, and the ability to cancel out of a hunt queue.
That last one is mostly a problem due to how many players Dauntless currently has. The game starts up almost instantly, which makes changing one’s mind somewhat challenging. Still, the devs are looking into a solution. Of some note is that Dauntless is not currently available on Steam, being an Epic Games Store exclusive. In fact, there aren’t currently any plans to have the PC version of the game available anywhere else. This could always change in the distant future, but Steam acolytes are rather upset. If you don’t mind dealing with Epic, Dauntless is available there right now, as well as PS4 and Xbox One.
