Looks Like the Launch Window of This Year’s Call of Duty Might Have Leaked
A Reddit user with a Google Chrome extension that allowed them to view previews of YouTube videos has reportedly managed to see an October launch window for 2019’s rumored Call of Duty: Modern Warfare reboot.
The user was able to see the launch window (along with some footage) by using the Google Chrome extension on the official Call of Duty YouTube stream that was supposed to reveal the new game. The scheduled stream was reportedly removed from YouTube after word of the leak got out.
However, there is some confusion about when exactly in October the game will launch since the images are pretty blurry.
Whenever the exact release date is, it’ll likely be revealed today during an official stream that’s scheduled for 10:00 AM PT/1:00 PM ET. This year’s CoD is said to be in development at the franchise’s original creator, Infinity Ward. The game has already been officially confirmed to have a singleplayer campaign (unlike last year’s Black Ops 4).
