Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Trailer Confirms Release Date and Reboot

“We Get Dirty, and the World Stays Clean”

Earlier today, Activision dropped the reveal trailer for the new Call of Duty game. It confirmed a lot of things we were all suspecting and what had been leaked. For instance, just yesterday, a Reddit user claimed that Modern Warfare would be released in October. The trailer echoed this claim with an October 25th release date. The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare trailer also showed off a lot of in-game footage from the single player mode. The voice over and the images definitely highlighted the story Infinity Ward wants to tell.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Trailer

The trailer brings back a familiar face. One Captain John Price from the original Modern Warfare games narrated and appeared in the trailer. There might also be more returning characters. At the end of the trailer someone asks, “Who’s your team?” to which Price answers, “Some old comrades.” Does that mean we could see Soap or Roach returning? We shall see. There were also rumors that the story of Modern Warfare would be inspired by the Modern Warfare 2 mission No Russian.

No Russian’s intention was to put the player as close as possible to the face of terrorism. Modern Warfare’s trailer does the same thing. There is a clip of a soldier climbing onto a car and unloading their rifle into the windshield as people screamed. Another shows a wounded man on a stretcher being carried over a crowd of people. There are also numerous shots of civilians caught up in the violent conflict the player will be taking on. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare comes out on October 25th.
