Shao Kahn Enters the Fight in the Newest Mortal Kombat 11 Trailer

There’s Still Time to Pre-Order

How silly of me, thinking that NetherRealm would not show anything else before launch day. Mortal Kombat 11 comes out in just five days. For more than three months, we watched anxiously as NetherRealm released about a dozen trailers featuring and revealing more and more characters. Yesterday, we were bestowed a trailer not revealing a new character, but one featuring a character we’ve known about from the very beginning. The pre-order bonus character Shao Kahn now has his own Mortal Kombat 11 trailer, just under a week away from launch day. One of the series Big Bads is ready and raring to go.

Mortal Kombat 11 Trailer

The trailer starts with Shao Kahn walking into the arena, crushing skulls on the ground. He wields an over-sized meat tenderizer. Raiden enters from the other side. When the fight starts, Kahn makes use of his hammer and indiscriminately smashes Raiden. He changes the hammer’s form into a spear and impales Raiden with it, then summons a new hammer to drive it in further. The scene cuts to Shao Kahn fighting not-Bruce Lee Liu Kang. After more smashing that would make Hulk proud, the scene switches to a fight against Kotal Kahn. Shao Kahn lifts Kotal over his head and drops him across his shoulders, breaking Kotal’s back.

Back to fighting Raiden, Shao Kahn shows that he can throw his hammer around, summoning a new one in place of the old in quick succession. He quite literally breaks Raiden’s face before showing off a Fatality. Shao Kahn brings Raiden to his knees and gives his head a golf swing, with exceptional form. Raiden’s head and spine get knocked through his torso and out the other end. If you were waiting to pre-order Mortal Kombat 11, this trailer has given you the reason. Mortal Kombat 11 comes out April 23rd for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
