Is Capcom Alluding to a Resident Evil 3 Remake? The Tweets Are Teasing

“Clearly Someone or Something Doesn’t Understand the Concept of Doors”

Capcom really knocked it out of the park with their Resident Evil 2 remake earlier this year. People love it, and it’s not hard to see why. You can check out our review here. The original 1998 Resident Evil 2 is a classic horror game and the remake took it and modernized it for an extraordinary success. 1993’s classic Resident Evil 3 was also successful follow-up to the original Resident Evil 2. With the buzz of the RE2 remake, some fans wondered about a Resident Evil 3 remake. Now, it seems that Capcom might also be interested.

Resident Evil 3 Remake

In Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Jill Valentine is continuously stalked by the recurring boss Nemesis. He would break through walls, chase Jill through multiple rooms, all in an effort to kill her. In this way, Nemesis is a lot like Resident Evil 2’s Mr. X. Here’s where we find some clues about the return of Nemesis. Last week, the official Resident Evil Twitter account tweeted an image of Claire Redfield standing in front of a big hole in the wall. It had the caption “Clearly something or someone doesn’t understand the concept of doors… What do YOU think happened to the wall here? #RE2” Obviously, this was captured from Resident Evil 2 footage, but just a day earlier, they tweeted out another image.

The earlier image was from the Resident Evil 1 remake with Jill Valentine. The caption of this tweet was “Ever feel like somebody’s watching you…?” Some believe that these two tweets are linked and are teasing a Resident Evil 3 remake. We know fans would approve of it. Maybe Capcom’s getting a feel for what they want.
