While Yacht Club Games isn’t quite finished with Shovel Knight… somehow, they’re still making big moves. The much-beloved indie studio is teaming up with Mechanical Head to release Cyber Shadow, a jaw-dropping Ninja Gaiden homage. Check out those badass ninja moves!
The game is branded as an authentic 8-bit challenge, with you slashing your way through the synthetic hordes of Mekacity in order to save your clan from extinction. There will be modern conveniences to make things easier, assuming you turn them on. Maybe you’re the sort of player who wants a game exactly as merciless as Ninja Gaiden?
If the trailer is anything to go by, I suspect even those helpful additions won’t keep you from getting annihilated by dexterous cyborgs over and over again. There’s no release date at this time, though you can sign up for eventual pre-orders on the game’s website. In the meantime, check out that gorgeous trailer below!
