Turok Lands on the Switch in March

The First Turok Game Is Going Handheld

A remastered version of the Nintendo 64 classic Turok: Dinosaur Hunter is launching on the Nintendo Switch on March 18th for $19.99, according to the game’s eShop webpage.

“Turok is back and no dinosaur is safe!” the webpage description read. “When it was first released in 1997, Turok introduced gamers to a world teeming with cunning enemies, traps, puzzles and deadly weapons all within a vast 3D environment ready to explore. Now the classic game has been restored and enhanced with a new visual engine and exciting new features to sink your teeth into!”

Here’s the story premise of the game: Turok is a time-traveling warrior who has to stop a bad guy named “The Campaigner” from using a powerful artifact called “The Chronoscepter” which will allow The Campaigner “to shred the fabric of time and rule the universe”. Our hero has to recover all eight parts of The Chronoscepter before The Campaigner gets his hands on them.

Also, this upcoming remaster will have 14 high-tech weapons for players to shoot its modded-out dinosaurs with (which may not seem like a lot but it was impressive in 1997).
