Days Gone Has Officially Gone Gold…Finally
One of Sony’s big exclusive titles, Days Gone, is set to release for the PlayStation 4 in just over a month after a few delays. Now if you’re worried that it could be pushed back again, no need to continue to do so as earlier today Sony Bend Studio officially announced that their upcoming title has officially gone gold!
In about a month and a half fans that have been anxiously waiting to get their hands on Days Gone will be able to do so and despite its slow development, Sony Bend Studio has shared some exciting news: Days Gone has gone gold. The developer took to Twitter to announce this stating that the development has been “quite the ride and we can’t wait for you experience our game.” This announcement was also accompanied by a picture of the entire development team. And if you’re not quite sure what “gone gold” means, it’s a simple way of saying that the game is officially ready to be printed onto discs and start shipping out to retailers worldwide also known as ready for mass consumption. Of course in today’s industry, what with the digital post-launch patches including that sometimes dreaded day-one patch, this term could be a bit outdated. Regardless, this is a milestone that indicates to everyone that the game is complete. And for a game that’s seen delays in the past, fans can always breathe a little easier knowing this.
Days Gone is set to release exclusively for the PS4 on April 26th. Are you glad to finally see Days Gone go gold? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and don’t forget to keep it locked for updates!
