When Death Stranding and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Collide
Death Stranding creator and film connoisseur Hideo Kojima recently took to Twitter to express his enjoyment of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which recently won the Academy Award for animated feature. Not only that, he said the theme of the film “is like TPP+DS.”
Spider- Man: Into the Spider-Verse was great masterpiece! Live action, full CGI, Japanimation, puppet anime, tokusatsu, manga, American comic, graffiti, it carries all the DNA and MEME SCENE, SENSE to make the next gen entertainment art. Good story too! The theme is like TPP+DS???? pic.twitter.com/dYTKH1SkPM

“TTP” and “DS” probably refer to Kojima’s latest projects, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Death Stranding, and fans are already coming up with theories that explain that tweet. Check out a few theories from Reddit users below.
Death Stranding still has no fixed release date, and its story is unclear. But a recent interview with Norman Reedus, who plays the main character, recently dropped a few more vague hints.
“The concept is so far out into the future,” he said. “Instead of eliminating everyone around you, it’s bringing everyone together. It’s a very positive video game, but scary and depressing at the same time.”
