Playstation’s State of Play event has given us gobs of delicious gaming news. Case in point, we’ve finally seen a little more or Concrete Genie! A new trailer was released today, and the game is looking proper gorgeous, perhaps more so than it did already. Although this news comes with yet another delay. Hopefully the last one?
Beyond the stunning visuals, Pixelopus has given us a glimpse of the story. Like many budding artists, our protagonist Ash has a serious bully problem. Their downright ghoulish behavior serves as the indirect catalyst for Ash’s discovery of the magic paintbrush. This same glowing MacGuffin is the key to saving his home town from an eternity of bleakness and gross, polluted walls.
Concrete Genie is currently set for a release date sometime this Fall. The central plot makes this sound like an open world game that gets prettier as you go, which is honestly the best kind. If you must take over a city with a methodical application of your growing skills, why not get some delightful visuals out of it?
