Nintendo Still Has Unannounced 2019 Games

Nintendo Has More Unannounced Plans for 2019

During a recent Q&A for its fiscal year ending in March 2019, Nintendo revealed that it still has unannounced games planned for release.

In response to a question about the company’s software development process, Nintendo Entertainment Planning and Development general manager Shinya Takahashi said the following:

“I have heard some people say we have a tendency towards slow development, but that’s certainly not true in every case. We have titles currently in development that we haven’t announced yet, some of which we’re preparing to release this year, and I don’t anticipate the kind of delays they would be concerned about.”

Although plenty of Nintendo games, such as Metroid Prime 4, are announced far before their release date, the company has been making a habit of announcing and releasing games in a pretty short timeframe. For example, Super Mario Odyssey was announced in January 2017 and released in October 2017, and Pokemon Let’s Go was announced in May 2018 and released in November 2018.

As of now, the unannounced games are uncertain, although there are tons of games that have been announced for a 2019 release. Some of these games are Daemon X Machina, Fire Emblem: Three Houses Luigi’s Mansion 3, Animal Crossing, Yoshi’s Crafted World, and a core Pokemon game.
