NetherRealm Studios Ed Boon Responds to Mortal Kombat 11 Roster Leaks

Ed Boon Breaks Silence on Latest Mortal Kombat 11 Roster Leak

It seems NetherRealm Studios is having a difficult time keeping details about their upcoming Mortal Kombat 11 from leaking. Yesterday there were rumors circling that WWE’s John Cena would be playing Stryker, and today there were some achievements on Steam that seemed to confirm the rest of the roster for the game. While NetherRealm has yet to respond to any of this, the game’s Creative Director Ed Boon has officially broken his silence on the matter.

Though it’s likely NetherRealm will not address these rumors or lend credence to them, it seems Ed Boon might be getting a little frustrated and honestly who can blame him? Mortal Kombat 11 was only revealed a couple of months ago at The Game Awards and already it seems like there are a lot of major details out in the wild. Today the game’s Creative Director, Ed Boon, broke his silence on the matter with a new tweet. You can check it out below.

Of course while his tweet doesn’t exactly reveal his thoughts on the matter, it seems pretty clear through the use of blood and gore, that he’s frustrated. Interestingly some are taking the tweet to mean that the leak is not only real, but accurate, while others believe this confirms they are fake. Either way, we won’t know for sure until NetherRealm officially reveals the rest of the roster.

Mortal Kombat is set to release on April 23rd for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC. If you’re planning on buying the game for the Switch in Europe though you will have to wait a little longer, until May 10th, to get your hands on the fighter.
