It’s no small feat, and the game scored a sweet 2 million concurrent players at its peak over the weekend. The team at Respawn is also taking the opportunity to let players know what’s coming next, which includes the Twitch Rivals Apex Legends Challenge starting tomorrow (Tuesday, February 12th), the beginning of the game’s first season in March, including the debut of the Battle Pass, new Legends, weapons, loot, “and more.”

There’s also going to be some Valentine’s Day themed loot available later this week, though no further details on that were announced. Respawn CEO Vince Zampella also mentioned the he “can’t tell you everything we have planned,” but the team is looking at changes based on player feedback and experiences. It’ll be interesting to see how this game grows over it’s next few months.

Apex Legends is free-to-play now on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Keep your eyes peeled for our full review later this week, and check out our 17 minutes of gameplay from earlier this week!
