The Last of Us Part II’s Multiplayer Will Have Character Customization & An In-Game Store

The Multiplayer Mode for The Last of Us Part II Gets Some More Details

A Naughty Dog job listing that was posted two weeks ago on LinkedIn points to character customization and an in-game store being features for the multiplayer mode in The Last of Us Part II.

The Last of Us Part II

“We are looking for a server programmer who loves constructing a scalable, stable, and secure ecosystem of services for players to enjoy,” part of the listing read. “You will usher them through the entire multiplayer experience, from first login, through matchmaking, and then granting rewards players can use to customize their characters in the store.”

It was already confirmed sometime ago that The Last of Us Part II will have a multiplayer mode but this is the first mention of the game having a store for character customization. It is possible that this game could have cosmetic microtransactions for players to purchase.

What do you think of this news? Are you excited about multiplayer in TLOU2 or are you more interested in the singleplayer portion of the game? What new features do you think that multiplayer should have in the sequel and what features should Naughty Dog bring back?
