PlayStation Classic Is Priced at $54 for Now

PlayStation Classic Got a Price Drop

Although the PlayStation Classic was originally priced at $100, which is more than some of the other retro consoles, the mini-console has dropped to $54 on Amazon listings. As of now, it appears to be a temporary price, but other stores might price match if their policy allows.

Playstation Classic Discount

The PlayStation Classic comes with a controller and 20 games, including classics like Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid, and Resident Evil Director’s Cut. But despite its appeal to nostalgia, it wasn’t as well-received as other retro consoles like the SNES Classic.

Here’s an excerpt from our review:

“As it stands now, the PlayStation Classic isn’t a must own product. It’s neat to go back and see what we as gamers tolerated in the late 90’s, but the whole PlayStation era is a victim of Sony’s own success. The ideas in each of the 20 games presented here have been iterated and improved on incredibly in the last 20 years, and while it’s fun as it is to go back to the beginning, you’re not really missing too much if you don’t experience Mr. Driller again.”
