Dead or Alive 6 Gets Hit With a Delay

Dead or Alive 6 Will Be Out Two Weeks Later

Dead or Alive 6 — the next anticipated entry in the long-running fighting series — has been delayed, announced Koei Tecmo.

Dead or Alive 6 DOA6

Don’t worry, it isn’t too bad of a setback. The game was due out on February 15th, 2019 but now it’ll be out two weeks later on March 1st, 2019. The delay was confirmed in a tweet by producer Yohei Shimbori:

“The title’s development is already near complete; however, we would like to take more time to further polish its balance, gameplay, and expressivity,” announced Shimbori on Twitter. “In return for your patience, we commit to bringing you the best Dead or Alive gaming experience. I am truly sorry for the inconvenience caused by the release delay of Dead or Alive 6.”

That’s okay, Yohei. I think we’ll be okay waiting an extra two more weeks. I do wonder what he means by “expressivity,” though. I’m curious what DoA6 has to do with genetics, but I guess we’ll find out soon enough. Kidding aside, I’m sure the word he meant to say was “expressive.” That’s still a bit of weird thing to say over a fighting game but at least it sort of makes sense.

The delay means Dead or Alive 6 leaves a very busy February 15th. Other games still releasing that day include Crackdown 3, Metro Exodus, Far Cry: New Dawn, and Jump Force.

Dead or Alive 6 will be out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. How excited are you for it? Let us know in the comments section below.
