The Emotional Tale of Firewatch Is Coming to a Switch Near You

Campo Santoโ€™s 2016 indie hit Firewatch will launch on the Nintendo Switch on December 17, according to an official Friday announcement made on Twitter.

Firewatch

โ€œFirewatch is coming to Nintendo Switch on December 17th! Weโ€™ll be in the Americas, Europe, Australia, and Japan eShops,โ€ the Campo Santo Twitter account tweeted yesterday.

The port had been announced earlier this year in April but wasnโ€™t given a specific release date at the time. If youโ€™re interested in buying this well-received indie game for the Switch then you should read our review of the Xbox One version so youโ€™ll have an idea of what the game is like.

โ€œWhile Firewatch for Xbox One still carries familiar framerate hitches and occasional visual oddities forward, itโ€™s a notable improvement over the launch of its predecessor,โ€ our reviewer wrote. โ€œAnd, with such striking visuals and great voice acting, itโ€™s certainly worth your time and money, so long as you donโ€™t go in expecting an amazing twist ending.โ€
