This Assassin’s Creed Collection Might Launch in 2019
A so-called “Assassin’s Creed Compilation” was recently spotted on two different German retail websites for the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Notably, this compilation has a possible launch date of March 29, 2019, according to those websites.
As for what this collection of Assassin’s Creed games could be, well neither retail website details which games are included. Both sites just list the console platforms and a possible release date.
One thing that’s surprising about these listings is that the Switch is one of the platforms that the collection could come out on. So far, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is the only major release of the series that’s available on that platform but that’s only through streaming for Switch owners in Japan.
It is possible that the compilation will include the series games that were set in or around North America such as Assassin’s Creed III, Liberation, and Rogue. After all, in 2016, Ubisoft released a current-gen collection for the games that featured fan favorite Ezio Auditore and years before that they had released a similar collection in 2012 for last-gen consoles.
There’s also the fact that in 2014 they released Assassin’s Creed: The Americas Collection, a last-gen collection that included three games in the series that were set in the Americas.
