The Notorious RDR2 Bug Has Been Fixed, According to Rockstar
A Red Dead Redemption 2 bug that caused several characters to disappear from the gang’s camp if players opted to reload a checkpoint for the early story mission, “Polite Society, Valentine Style”, instead of restarting the mission has been fixed, according to patch notes for the latest update for the game.
The aforementioned bug would cause Sadie Adler and the Marstons to disappear from the gang’s camp after completing and these characters wouldn’t appear again in camp until much later in the game. While their disappearance didn’t impact story progression, part of Red Dead Redemption 2’s appeal is being able to talk to multiple members of the gang in order to have insightful conversations with them or to see how they interact with other members.
Hopefully, with this new fix, players will no longer have to be careful about reloading a checkpoint for the story mission that caused the bug in the first place.
