Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Adds First Free Story Mission

First Free Story Mission Comes to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

As part of its latest patch, Ubisoft has added a new story quest to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. It’s called ‘The Lost Tales of Greece’ and is available for free to anyone that updates the game to v1.0.6.

According to the official page, this is the first of seven planned story add-ons in addition to the larger paid expansions arriving later. The mission is called ‘The Show Must Go On’ and will take approximately 30-45 minutes to complete (thanks Rock, Paper, Shotgun). The new story can be found from a quest giver in the Elis region but can only be accessible from Episode 5 in the main campaign.

In ‘The Lost Tales of Greece,’ players will “meet new faces, catch up with old friends, and cross swords with formidable foes.” There are also new challenges and something about “tying up loose ends.”

Ubisoft also wants to remind Odyssey players that more content will continue to drop on a regular basis. Players can expect to see time-limited contracts, new quests and contracts daily and weekly, and more quests from the wandering merchant Sargon.

The new patch is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One and is approximately 3.6GB. The update also squashes some bugs, reduces gear upgrade costs, and adds the ability to auto-craft arrows.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will get its first paid DLC expansion in December with the second one due out in Spring 2019.

We scored the game a 78 out 100 in our launch review last month. Here’s a snippet of what our reviewer said:

“Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, for better or worse, feels like a palette swap of Origins. There’s a huge new world full of historical coolness and infinite things to do, but the enhancements are few and far between. If you loved Origins and want more of that you’ll gobble Odyssey right up, but Ubisoft needs to be diligent about making changes to these games if they’re going to continue pumping them out year after year.”
