‘Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’ Is Getting a 40-Minute Nintendo Direct

Alongside a Nintendo Treehouse: Live Presentation

Nintendo is bracing for what may be the best installment of their mash-up fighting franchise. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will receive its own Nintendo Direct next month.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate Switch

The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct will begin on November 1st, 7:00 AM PT 10:00 AM ET, according to Nintendo. Tuning in, you can expect new announcements on what may become the final lineup. A full roster was allegedly leaked last week, but the final confirmation is incoming. The latest info drop shall come from none other than Director Masahiro Sakurai. He will serve as host for the 40-minute direct, where we also expect to learn more about the new game mode. Could we see the return of a single-player story?

Ever since the Nintendo E3 presentation, most news for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has stemmed from leaks. Among those confirmed was the Nintendo Switch bundle that comes with a copy of the game. And though this November will bring a dedicated Direct, there’s still a chance the company won’t reveal the remaining characters. We last had Isabelle confirmed and before that, Castlevania’s Simon and Richter Belmont. With the incorporation of all characters, we may receive less than half a dozen new announcements between now and December. What are your thoughts?
