A New Sea of Thieves Content Update Is Scheduled for November
The developers behind Sea of Thieves announced on Thursday that they’re planning to share some news about their future plans for the game at the upcoming X018 convention. Also, the game’s next major update, Shrouded Spoils, launches next month.
Shrouded Spoils will have more ship customization, a dynamic fog mechanic that affects visibility for players, and special goals (or “commendations”) for Pirate Legends (high level players), according to executive producer Joe Neate. The content update will have other features but Neate said that these will be revealed at a later date in a different video.
Neate also said that info about what his team will be doing for Sea of Thieves after Shrouded Spoils launches will be revealed on November 10th for X018. Neate added that he and Rare’s studio head, Craig Duncan, will be appearing on Inside Xbox’s show to share this info during the event.
The first three Sea of Thieves updates have already launched with the most recent one, Forsaken Shores, having launched late last month.
