Here’s Red Dead Redemption 2 Early-Access Content
First off, apologies to anyone who remains privy to the Xbox One. Since Rockstar revealed their exclusive deal with PlayStation at the end of last month, PS4 owners have much to look forward to. Per the norm, that includes access to new content 30 days ahead of everyone else. The bonuses will launch right off the bat for Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online.
On the PS4, Arthur Morgan starts off with a bigger wardrobe thanks to the Grizzlies Outlaw Outfit. Whether or not it provides in-game benefits is unclear, but here’s what the PS blog had to say: “Featuring a wool-lined, long coat with custom, hand-tooled leather accents, a leather vest with ornate pattern details, stand wing-tip collar with black neckerchief, and custom ornate buckle with matching boot tips, the Grizzlies Outlaw Outfit pays homage to the ‘boss’ of the Northern States, its real-world inspiration.”
Additional rewards shall be reserved for Red Dead Online, including a saddle, gun, and new horse. The Red Chestnut Arabian Horse that players shall receive, apparently, is a “step up from the first tier of available horses.” Vague as that may sound, I’m sure anyone eager to jump into the online portion will take any bonus they can get. Just as well, a special alligator skin saddle comes with the horse. Now, the saddle comes with a boost in the form of health and stamina, which means your horse will survive and gallop for longer.
Last but not least, there’s the High Roller Double-Action Revolver:Â “Looks could kill: The High Roller Double-Action Revolver features a polished steel body with unique period-inspired, beautifully detailed engraving work. The deadly, quick draw revolver comes complete with unique playing card and skull elements carved into the grip. Its superior, quick rate of fire over all other revolvers makes it a great choice for mounted combat.”
The horse, saddle, and revolver shall be available to users upon the launch of Red Dead Online. As the months ride on, PS4 users may look forward to similar early-access bonuses. Stay tuned as we bring the updates.
