The PS4’s Sales Success Continues
The PS4 sold 3.9 million units in Q2 of Fiscal Year 2018, according to a recent Sony financial report. This means that the console has reached 86.1 million units in lifetime sales since earlier this year it was reported that its lifetime sales were at 82.2 million.
The report also revealed that PlayStation Plus subscribers numbers went up slightly from 33.9 million to 34.3 million. It was revealed back in July that the number of subscribers to the service had dipped from 34.2 million to 33.9 million.
The full game digital download ratio on the console decreased from 43% in the first quarter to 28% in the second. Also when it comes to their forecast for fiscal year 2018 (April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019), Sony expects the sales total for hardware to reach 17.5 million PS4 units.
