The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel and Its Sequel Are Coming to PS4 Next Year

Both The Legend of Heroes Games Coming Early 2019 With New Features

XSEED Games has announced that they will bring the Falcom-developed The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel and its sequel to the West on PS4 in early 2019.

Both RPG games were released in Japan as Eiyuu Densetsu: Sen no Kiseki ‘Kai’ and Eiyuu Densetsu: Sen no Kiseki II ‘Kai’ and saw releases on the PS3, Vita, and then later with enhancements on PC via Steam. The third game is also on PS4 but it has yet to be given a Western release date.

The new PS4 versions will have features not found in any previous console release including dual-language support. This means players can enjoy the game with the original Japanese voices. Playing with English dubbing brings about over 5,000 new lines of dialogue per game that was previously only on the PC version. Don’t worry PC players, a forthcoming patch will add the Japanese voices to the game for free.

Both titles will be released separately and in two different physical editions: The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Decisive Edition and The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II Relentless Edition. Pre-orders will be launching soon. They will cost $49.99 each. Below is a breakdown of what is inside of each edition:

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Decisive Edition includes:

  • Physical copy of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel on PS4â„¢ system
