Race Route Creator Coming to Forza Horizon 4 on Oct 25th
Playground Games has announced that, in its first week alone, Forza Horizon 4 already has two million players driving around the game’s open world of Britain.
The studio — which is now officially owned by Microsoft — also confirmed that Forza Horizon 4 is now the highest-rated Xbox exclusive of the generation (via Metacritic). With the latest entry, the Forza series continues to be the best-selling racing franchise of this console generation too (via NPD Group).
Playground Games also shared some additional stats about Forza Horizon 4 and its community:
- More than 4.6 million hours of Forza Horizon 4 gameplay have been watched across Mixer, Twitch, YouTube and Facebook as of Oct. 9
- Players have logged more than 822.7 million miles – that’s probably not covered under manufacturer warranty
- The community has settled in quite nicely living the Horizon Life, purchasing more than 4.1 million properties and owning more than 74.4 million cars
- More than 377.7 million roads discovered – you’ve been looking for miles and miles and miles…
Coming soon to the game in a new update is a new feature called Race Route Creator. This will allow players to create their own race events, point-to-point races, and circuits. According to an Inside Xbox interview with Ralph Futton (which you can view below), fans can “go on their own excursions while plotting new courses from new landscapes.” Race Route Creator will launch on October 25th.
