Take to the SkiesÂ
In the recent Soaring 50s limited-time mode, Fortnite players can redeploy their glider from a much lower height than in the game’s other modes – though it looks like that’s about to change.
When update 6.20 drops tomorrow, players will be able to pop their glider from three stories high (measured by player building materials, so three walls up or three stairs up) in Solos, Duos, and Squads. Epic says this is a “test” for how the feature fares in the game’s primary modes, and will only last a week, but if it works out, will return in the future.
Update 6.20 will be bringing a handful of new skins, a Halloween themed “Fortnitemares” event, and the next chapter in the life of Kevin the Cube.
In other recent Fortnite news, it was revealed yesterday that the Save the World portion of the game’s free-to-play transition has been pushed back to 2019, and developer Epic has sued major YouTube personalities for cheating in the popular Battle Royale shooter.
Fortnite is currently available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices. Let us know if you’re looking forward to easy glider-redeployment in the comments, and keep it locked to COGconnected for all the latest gaming news!
