Bandai Namco Drops New Twin Mirror Trailer

What If Stephen King Wrote Twin Peaks And Black Mirror?

Bandai Namco has released a new gameplay trailer for developer Dontnod’s latest story-driven adventure title, Twin Mirrors, and introduces players to the town of Basswood and protagonist Sam Hicks.

The trailer’s narrator explains that Sam is accompanied by a wise-cracking alter-ego simply called The Double, who represents the character’s lack of confidence and self-preservation, and is reflective of the game’s intrinsic and prominent themes of duality. The trailer itself leads us through one of the game’s early story beats after Sam wakes up in a hotel room with a bloody shirt, and has to figure out how he ended up in that situation through ethereal and otherworldly investigation.

Twin Mirror was announced just prior to E3 over on the PlayStation blog this past June, and though it doesn’t have an exact release date yet, it’s slated to launch sometime in 2019 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
