If you’re the sort of person who likes the avatar of their party-based vengeance to be just right, perhaps this will be the news you’re looking for: the Super Mario Party cast has been finalized, if this latest video is to be believed. Also, the latest video is completely official, so belief has precious little to do with it.
Look, I’m not saying Mario Party games are a calculated strategy for removing certain people from your life through betrayal, blind rage and brutal dice rolls. You say that, every time you play these games with any of your friends. Competitive party games do weird things to people. Monty Mole is on the list! Huzzah!
One section of the video includes a pretty comprehensive roster, which includes Dry Bones, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Pom Pom, Boo and like, the usual suspects. Mario and the gang. Personally, I like to use the cutest possible avatar when crushing my enemies, so Monty’s inclusion is a major plus. I’m actually a little sad that Bowser is a playable character. Who will act as the conduit for each stage’s merciless judgments now? Bowser was always so joyous in his cruelty. You don’t always get that in a Mario villain. Super Mario Party is out on the Nintendo Switch on October 5th. Check out said video below!
